Certificate in ICT (KNEC)

Course Overview

The program is designed to provide a solid foundation of emerging Technologies and application in the current world. The Course covers the academic aspect as well as the vocational aspect of the wide area of Computing and Information and Communications Technology. Students will get equipped with skills to prepare them for careers in the ICT environment with emphasis on solutions design, software development and technology infrastructure support. Students will be expected to develop skills in the application of technology in a business and organizational context, so as to facilitate response to continuous future changes in technology and industry practices. The course is delivered as a modular program examined by Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC).

Course Structure

A minimum KCSE overall Grade of D (Plain) or equivalent, with passes in mathematics is required to enroll in the program. The course consists of two (2) modules, each six (6) months long. Examinations are taken at the conclusion of every module. At the conclusion of the final module, students are required to complete three (3) months of industrial attachment.
